Job summary

Soho House is seeking a hands-on Works Manager to lead onsite maintenance and cleaning teams, supervise contractors, and ensure the building operates safely and efficiently for members and visitors.

You will balance technical oversight with providing a smooth, professional experience, coordinating with community managers and front-of-house teams, and driving safety, sustainability, and high standards daily.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Works Manager or Facilities Manager in commercial, coworking, or hospitality settings.
• Experience managing teams, contractors, and service providers.
• Strong organisational, planning, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent leadership and communication abilities.
• Understanding of health and safety, fire safety, and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day building operations, maintenance, cleaning, security and facilities management.
• Lead on- site maintenance and cleaning teams; manage contractors for timely service.
• Plan and monitor Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive tasks.
• Coordinate with vendors to ensure cost-effective, quality service delivery.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and uphold health, safety, and building regs.
• Maintain records of maintenance activities, work orders and assets.
• Support sustainability and energy efficiency initiatives.
• Respond promptly to emergencies with professional resolution.
