Job summary

CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is recruiting an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join our Birmingham on-site team. You will perform preventative and reactive maintenance across building services to ensure reliable operations and compliance with safety standards.

Responsibilities include weekly tests (fire alarms, emergency lighting, hazard checks), repairs to floors and walls, managing lighting and plumbing tasks, and coordinating with contractors while keeping detailed logs.

Qualifications

• Experience of working in high profile work environment.
• Previous fabric experience advantageous.
• PC literate (Microsoft Office, basic IT skills).
• Good customer relationship skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative & reactive maintenance, diagnose faults, and implement effective repairs across all building services systems.
• Weekly PPMs such as fire alarm tests, emergency light tests & hazard checks.
• Repairs floor & wall coverings.
• Responsible for other building maintenance & installation works as required.
• Accountable for lighting, general lamp changes, filter changes AHU's/FCU's and basic plumbing requirements.
• Provide excellent customer service, respond to requests, and maintain effective communication with all stakeholders.
• Oversee and liaise with contractors across site.
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, inspections, and equipment logs.
• Ensure adherence to health & safety regulations, conduct inspections, and maintain accurate records of compliance.
