Job summary

FTV Proclad (U.K.) Ltd. is seeking a proactive Maintenance Assistant to join the team at our Glenrothes site. You will perform general maintenance, repairs and improvement works across the site, including decorating, grounds upkeep and assisting maintenance engineers as required.

The role requires a hands-on approach, reliability and the ability to work indoors and outdoors. You will follow safety protocols, use basic tools safely and contribute to timely completion of maintenance tasks and

Qualifications

• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Practical hands-on approach with experience in basic maintenance, facilities, decorating, grounds work or similar role.
• Able to use common hand and power tools safely.
• Strong awareness of Health & Safety requirements and the ability to follow instructions and safe systems of work.
• Reliable, organised and able to work independently as well as part of the maintenance team.
• Willing to work indoors and outdoors and undertake the physical activities associated with the role.

Responsibilities

• Carry out minor repairs and general facilities maintenance across the site.
• Complete basic plumbing tasks, such as dealing with minor leaks or replacing simple fittings.
• Replace lamps and carry out other basic lighting tasks where trained and authorised.
• Support grounds maintenance, including grass cutting and keeping external areas tidy.
• Complete minor decorating work, including painting, touch-ups and repairing small areas of damage.
• Change filters and complete simpler routine maintenance tasks following instructions or checklists.
• Assist with remedial actions arising from insurance inspections.
• Provide labouring assistance to maintenance engineers.
• Respond to allocated maintenance requests and record completed work as required.
• Support general site housekeeping and other reasonable duties appropriate to the role.

The successful candidate will provide support to theMaintenance team by carrying out general maintenance, repairs and improvementworks across the site.
