Job summary

Fylde Coast YMCA is seeking a General Assistant to support cleaning and maintenance across our facilities. You will join the core housekeeping team, carry out cleaning, prep and changeovers for client accommodation, and help maintain high cleanliness standards in public areas and meeting rooms.

Applicants should have cleaning experience, a strong focus on customer service, and be committed to teamwork and confidentiality. You may be required to complete an Enhanced DBS Disclosure.

Qualifications

• You have previous cleaning experience in a domestic or workplace setting - Desirable.

• You understand the need for confidentiality with a professional and caring approach to work.
• You enjoy working in a busy, fast paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of the core team under the direction of the Housekeeping Supervisor /Senior Operations Manager
• Carry out general cleaning duties, preparation, and changeover of client accommodation
• Clean facilities, public areas and meeting rooms as required, maintaining a high standard of cleanliness throughout
• Report any damage to soft furnishings, paint work etc. to Maintenance/Operations Services Manager
• Assist in cleaning and preparation of staff accommodation
• Report any equipment replacement requirements to Maintenance Team
• To assist with general maintenance of public and staff areas
• Adhere to all Health and Safety requirements of the job and the Centre as indicated by the Centre Policies and Procedures.
