Job summary

Fylde Coast YMCA in Newby Bridge, Cumbria, is seeking a part-time General Assistant (30 hours/week) to join our housekeeping team. You will perform cleaning duties, prepare and changeover guest accommodation, and maintain high standards of cleanliness across facilities.

Successful candidates will work Mon–Fri 8:30–16:30, with Enhanced DBS disclosure required, and benefits include 28 days annual leave and access to our online learning portal.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general cleaning duties, preparation, and changeover of client accommodation.
• Clean facilities, public areas and meeting rooms as required, maintaining a high standard of cleanliness throughout.
• Report any damage to soft furnishings, paint work etc. to Maintenance/Operations Services Manager.
• Assist in cleaning and preparation of staff accommodation.
• Report any equipment replacement requirements to Maintenance Team.
• To assist with general maintenance of public and staff areas.
• Adhere to all Health and Safety requirements of the job and the Centre as indicated by the Centre Policies and Procedures.
