Job summary

Leigh Academy Minster is recruiting a Facilities Assistant to join our Estates Team. The role covers general maintenance, minor repairs, porterage and supporting the Facilities Manager to maintain health and safety across a busy academy.

We seek a reliable, flexible individual with DIY skills, basic IT knowledge, and safeguarding awareness. The position offers CPD opportunities within our academy and multi-academy trust.

Qualifications

• Good DIY skills and practical hands-on abilities.
• Some knowledge of Health & Safety guidelines is desirable.
• Basic IT skills for admin tasks and record-keeping.
• Flexibility to cover duties for other team members when needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist Estates Team with general maintenance and minor repairs.
• Support Facilities Manager to ensure health, safety and security of the academy.
• Undertake porterage and other duties as required.
• Cover duties of other team members during their absence.
• Work a rotating shift pattern (6:00 AM–6:00 PM, Monday–Friday).
