Job summary

Leigh Academy Longfield, part of Leigh Academies Trust, invites applications for a Facilities Assistant. You will support the Estates Team with premises care, maintenance, minor repairs and porterage, ensuring health and safety and security across the site.

The role requires flexibility to cover duties for other team members as needed. The ideal candidate is reliable, physically fit and collaborative, with basic IT knowledge and safeguarding awareness.

Qualifications

• Trustworthy, reliable, hardworking and physically fit.
• Able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Ideally capable in DIY, health & safety knowledge and basic IT.

Responsibilities

• Assist Estates Team with care of academy premises and general maintenance.
• Carry out minor repairs and refurbishment works.
• Provide porterage and cover duties for other team members as needed.
• Support Facilities Manager to ensure health, safety and security.
