Job summary

Moderna is seeking a senior Facilities/Engineering leader to oversee building infrastructure, utilities, and facility systems at a GMP-enabled site. You will drive maintenance strategy, asset reliability, and compliance across EH&S, regulatory and quality requirements.

You will manage internal and external teams, partner with global maintenance groups, and lead critical capital projects while ensuring safety, schedule, and budget adherence.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree required with advanced degree preferred.
• 8+ years in Facilities/Engineering in biotech or pharma with GMP experience.
• Strong negotiation, interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Structured problem-solving approach to find root cause and corrective actions.
• Experience with CMMS planning and execution; Maximo preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for building infrastructure, utilities and facility systems.
• Ensure compliance with EH&S, statutory, environmental and GxP requirements.
• Manage performance of engineering service partners and drive improvements.
• Lead maintenance and engineering activities across the site with internal/external teams.
• Develop maintenance strategies, spare parts plans, and asset reliability initiatives.
• Collaborate with Global teams to implement maintenance plans and job plans.
• Lead site improvement initiatives considering quality, safety, schedule and budget.
• Support major engineering initiatives including shutdowns and capital projects.
• Build strong relationships with facility stakeholders and communicate clearly.
• Champion continuous improvement to strengthen facility performance.
