Job summary

Moderna is seeking an engineering leader to shape reliability, performance, and compliance of our R&D Clinical Laboratory facilities. You will oversee facility systems, drive maintenance excellence, and work with global teams and new digital tools to optimize asset management and decision-making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering; Master’s preferred.
• Minimum 8 years of facilities/engineering experience in biotech/pharma.
• GMP facility experience required.
• Strong negotiation, interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for building infrastructure, utilities, and facility systems.
• Ensure compliance with EH&S, regulatory, and GxP requirements.
• Manage performance of engineering service partners; monitor delivery and improvements.
• Lead maintenance and engineering activities across the site with internal teams and external providers.
• Develop and implement a comprehensive maintenance strategy and asset reliability improvements.
• Collaborate with Global Maintenance and Engineering to implement maintenance strategies.
• Lead facility improvement initiatives with quality, safety, schedule, and budget in mind.
• Support site shutdowns, capital projects, and business process improvements.
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders and drive continuous improvement.
• Promote an inspection-ready culture with proper documentation and regulatory readiness.
