Job summary

Lockheed Martin (UK) Ampthill is seeking a Facilities Engineer to support the delivery of facilities, construction, and refurbishment projects while ensuring assets are maintained and compliant with statutory requirements.

You will manage planned maintenance, maintain CMMS records, and produce CAD drawings to support site operations and project activities, working with internal teams, contractors, and suppliers.

Qualifications

  • Facilities, Building Services, Mechanical, Electrical, or Construction‑related background.
  • Understanding of industrial asset maintenance through engineering, maintenance, or planning experience.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, project plans, and engineering documentation.
  • Experience using CAD software and CMMS systems.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience using IBM TRIRIGA or a similar CMMS.
  • Experience supporting construction or refurbishment projects in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Knowledge of UK facilities compliance and statutory requirements.
  • HNC/HND or Degree in Facilities Engineering, Building Services, Engineering, or a related discipline.

Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of facilities, construction, and refurbishment projects.
  • Assist in developing project briefs, budgets, schedules, and progress reports.
  • Review asset information, O&M manuals, and technical documentation to develop planned maintenance schedules.
  • Maintain asset records and maintenance data within the CMMS (IBM TRIRIGA).
  • Produce and update 2D and 3D CAD drawings to support facilities and project activities.
  • Support project costing, BOEs (Basis of Estimates), and proposal development.
  • Ensure facilities assets and activities comply with relevant statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders, contractors, and suppliers to support project and maintenance activities

Job description

Working Pattern: 37.5 hours per week with every other Friday off.

Location: Ampthill - Bedfordshire

About the Role

The Facilities Engineer supports the delivery of facilities, construction, and refurbishment projects, while ensuring building assets are effectively managed, maintained, and compliant with statutory requirements. The role combines project support, asset management, maintenance planning, and CAD design activities to support site operations and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the delivery of facilities, construction, and refurbishment projects.
  • Assist in developing project briefs, budgets, schedules, and progress reports.
  • Review asset information, O&M manuals, and technical documentation to develop planned maintenance schedules.
