Job summary

Invictus Recruitment is seeking an experienced Electrician to join a leading Facilities Management team on a commercial site in Bristol. You will carry out planned and reactive electrical maintenance, ensuring compliance with regulations and safety standards.

Key responsibilities include diagnosing faults, carrying out PPMs and repairs, maintaining lighting and power distribution, and keeping accurate maintenance records. A UK driving licence is desirable.

Qualifications

• City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 Electrical qualification or equivalent.
• AM2 and JIB Gold card.
• Previous experience in Facilities Management, Building Services or commercial environment.
• Strong knowledge of electrical maintenance and fault finding.
• Experience carrying out PPM and reactive maintenance.
• Good understanding of health and safety and electrical compliance.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a wider engineering team.
• Full UK driving licence desirable depending on the site.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive electrical maintenance.
• Diagnose and repair electrical faults across a range of building services systems.
• Complete electrical installation, repairs, replacements and minor works.
• Carry out testing and inspection of electrical systems where qualified to do so.
• Maintain lighting, emergency lighting, power distribution and associated electrical equipment.
• Respond to breakdowns and reactive maintenance requests within agreed timescales.
• Complete electrical isolation and safe working procedures.
• Assist with general building services and basic mechanical/fabric maintenance where required.
• Complete maintenance records, job sheets and compliance documentation.
• Work closely with the wider engineering and facilities management team.
• Liaise with clients, contractors and site management when required.
• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with current health and safety requirements.
• Support the delivery of a high-quality maintenance service across the site.
