Job summary

ABM, a leading facilities services provider, is recruiting a site-based Facilities Supervisor for the Northampton area. You will oversee engineers and specialists, liaise with suppliers and customers, and ensure safe, compliant site operations on a day-to-day basis under the Contract Manager.

The role requires strong organisation, CAFM experience, and IT proficiency with MS Office. On-site duties and a focus on health and safety are essential, with the chance to contribute to a wide range of

Qualifications

• Previous supervisory experience essential in managing engineers and specialists.
• Experience with using CAFM systems.
• Experience in assisting with compiling monthly reports.
• Experience with raising WOs and some budgetary control desirable.
• Experience with training and supervising engineers.

Responsibilities

• Raising quotations and submitting to the customers.
• Good IT skills–Intermediate level, Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
• Excellent communication skills as this will be a client facing role.
• Good understanding of Health & Safety in the workplace.
• Excellent understanding of M&E Building Services.
• Excellence in keeping site log books fully up to date.
• Dealing with a wide range of M&E emergencies.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

• High attention to detail in document preparation, tracking, and record-keeping.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel, Word, Teams).

• Experience working with CAFM systems (e.g. IBMS) and digital filing systems (e.g. DMS).

• Confident in liaising with suppliers, contractors, and clients in a professional and clear manner.

• Capable of working independently across multiple sites and adapting to varying operational needs.

• Able to maintain a high level of discretion and professionalism in a fast-paced commercial environment.

Desirable:

• Previous experience in a facilities or siteleadrole.

• Experience in usingCAFM system or asset management system.

• Understanding of FM contract structures, especially separation of PPM, reactive, and consumables.

• Familiarity with Amazon processes or working on Amazon sites is a bonus.

• IOSH/NEBOSH qualification

• Authorised Person – Electrical / Mechanical / Confined Spaces / Working @ Height / LOTO.

• Electrical and Multi Skilled desirable.
