Job summary

Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Ltd. at Goodwood invites you to join the Sites Services team for a 12.5-month placement year in Facilities Management. You’ll support daily operations, attend meetings, and work on major facility projects with real responsibilities from day one.

Gain experience in contract management, process optimization, and tendering while collaborating across departments. Applicants must be returning to studies for at least 6 months after placement and have right to work in the UK.

Qualifications

• Studying toward a degree in Facilities Management, Civil/Mechanical Engineering, Architecture.
• Experience or keen interest in Project Management.
• IT literate: MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), CAD.
• Ability to adapt and multitask under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day business, organise events and meetings.
• Assist with service provider steering and contract management.
• Analyze and optimize processes and workflows.
• Support tendering for construction projects and contracts.
• Participate in project meetings and support project leaders.
• Own sub-project deliverables and outcomes.
• Maintain on-site communication across departments.

Rolls Royce Motor Cars, Goodwood, Facilities, Building Management - Placement Year (July 2027)

The Sites Services department is responsible for guiding Rolls Royce Motor Cars through environment, health and safety, environmental standards, as well as legal compliance to ensure a safe working environment. The department oversee the integration and execution of major Facility related projects such as office refurbishments, site extensions, sustainability initiatives, and digitalization efforts. The department also manages a variety of contractors providing technical facilities management, cleaning, landscaping, waste management, catering services, and security to maintain high-quality performance. Additionally, the Sites Services team is tasked with modernizing the production facilities and processes.

What awaits you?

• Support the general day-to-day business, preparation of events, organisation of meetings and workshops.
• Service provider steering and contract management support.
• Analysis and optimisation of processes and workflows
• Support in tendering processes of construction projects and service provider contracts.
• Participation in project meeting with internal project partners, supporting project leaders to fulfil the project requirements.
• Taking responsibility for the deliverables and outcome of your own sub projects.
• Regular exchange and communication with all departments and functions on site.
• Support with regular walk arounds / inspections and audits to constantly improve the facilities and feedback to suppliers.

What should you bring along?

• Studying toward a degree in Facilities Management, Civil / Mechanical Engineering, Architecture or related; on track to achieve a 2:2.
• Experience or keen interest in Project Management.
• IT - literate especially in MS Office, Excel, Power Point, Word, CAD)
• Capability to pick up new topics and processes.
• Ability to adapt working approach depending on specific requirements, prioritise activities, work under pressure, multitask and solve problems.
• Comfortable using digital tools and motivated to learn new technologies.
