Job summary

The Facilities Assistant (Domestic Relief) at Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust in Rochdale is a part-time, permanent role delivering cleaning services across clinical, sanitary and admin areas in line with policy and schedules.

You will work 22.5 hours per week (Mon-Sun 7am-11:30am) and join the facilities team within the Capital Investment and Estates Services department, contributing to high standards of infection control and health and safety. Sponsorship is available where eligible.

Qualifications

• NVQ 2 or equivalent experience.
• Experience delivering cleaning services.
• Knowledge of NHS national cleaning standards.
• Experience with COSHH and health & safety procedures.
• Ability to follow cleaning schedules and work both in a team and alone.

Responsibilities

• Carry out cleaning tasks in clinical, sanitary and administration areas as per policy.
• Follow cleaning schedules to achieve required cleanliness levels.
• Report incidents or near misses per Trust policy.
• Store equipment safely and report defects to supervisor.
• Dispose of waste safely according to guidelines.
• Attend mandatory training (fire safety, moving/handling, infection control).
• Work as part of the cleaning team and undertake other duties as required.
