Job summary

Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust in Bury is recruiting a Facilities Assistant (Periodic) to deliver cleaning services across the Trust’s inpatient and community settings, including wards, clinics and admin areas.

You will work as part of the Facilities team within the Capital Investment and Estates Services department and must be able to travel across sites, with a full UK driving licence and a willingness to perform periodic cleaning tasks as per the schedule.

Qualifications

• NVQ 2 or equivalent experience in cleaning services.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Experience of cleaning services, COSHH, Colour Coding.
• Knowledge of Health & Safety techniques.
• Formal cleaning qualification/training.
• Experience working to NHS National Cleaning standards, Colour coding, COSHH.
• Good communication & IT skills, punctual & reliable.

Responsibilities

• Carry out tasks in line with Trust policy and national cleaning standards (carpet cleaning, ceilings/walls, curtain changing, floor care).
• Respond to ad hoc requests and incidents, e.g. floods, while carrying a mobile phone.
• Ensure infection control, COSHH and health and safety procedures are followed.
• Work as part of the Facilities team to meet cleaning standards across inpatient and community sites.
