Job summary

Compass Group UK&I is recruiting a dedicated Facilities Assistant to support Defence operations on a full-time basis at our Fareham site. You will work with the facilities team to keep the site well maintained and compliant, delivering reliable services to colleagues and customers.

The role requires a practical mindset, strong timekeeping, and the ability to communicate clearly, build relationships, and adapt to changing priorities.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar facilities role.
• Adaptable to changing priorities and able to multitask.
• Clear communicator with the ability to build relationships across teams.
• Take initiative and make decisions that benefit customers and the site.
• Ability to work under pressure and maintain punctuality.
• Strong timekeeping and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Undertaking minor repairs and maintenance tasks.
• Maintaining the exterior of the site in a clean and serviceable state.
• Assisting with contractor control, including sign-in/out and policy compliance.
• Opening and/or closing the building as required.
