Job summary

Compass Group UK&I Defence is seeking a dedicated Facilities Assistant to help ensure smooth operations on a full-time basis, contracted to 35 hours per week. The role involves maintaining a high standard of facility management with the facilities team and supporting contractor management, site opening/closing, and overall safety compliance.

The Defence, Government, and Energy services sector under ESS supports 250+ UK sites.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar facilities role.
• Adaptable and able to handle changing priorities.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Efficient and dependable with timekeeping.
• Ability to work under pressure and make decisions for customers.
• Open/close responsibilities and site security awareness.

Responsibilities

• Undertaking minor repairs and maintenance tasks.
• Exterior of the site must be clean, tidy and in reasonable state of repair, including external maintenance tasks.
• Assist facilities team with contractor processes: signing in/out and compliance with site rules.
• Open and/or close the building when required.
• Represent Compass Group UK&I and maintain a positive brand image.
• Comply with Health & Safety regulations.
