Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland in Preston is seeking a proactive Facilities Assistant to support day-to-day delivery of facilities services across the site. This hands-on role ensures a safe, efficient, and well-organised working environment with a high standard of service for building users and visitors.

Qualifications

• Right to work in the UK and willing to undergo a DBS check.
• Full UK driving licence (where required).
• Practical, hands-on approach with ability to carry out physical tasks.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise effectively.
• Good communication skills and a customer-focused mindset.
• Willingness to learn and follow health and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Support and oversee effective delivery of Cleaning Services, Tech Services, Security, Helpdesk and other service lines as required.
• Oversee day-to-day service delivery across FM, ensuring tasks are completed within timescales.
• Support the Facilities Manager to ensure all tasks follow company processes and procedures.
• Supervise and coordinate work of in-house teams.
• Complete low level PPMs, such as water temperature checks, emergency lighting checks, fire alarm testing.
• Complete regular stocktakes of stationary & hospitality and place orders as required.
