Job summary

Caithness General Hospital in Wick is seeking a Facilities Assistant to join the team on a two-week rota with weekend flexibility. The post covers catering, laundry and domestic services, delivering clean, well-maintained environments in line with local policies.

You will be required to uphold infection control standards, support waste regulations, and participate in induction and training as NHS Scotland promotes equality and diversity.

Facilities Assistant, 25 Hours Post Based at Caithness General Hospital Wick

We are currently seeking to recruit Facilities Assistants to join our team in Caithness General Hospital. This post will be based in Caithness General Hospital. The successful applicant’s role shall be to provide services to the Catering, Laundry and Domestic services.

The successful candidates will be responsible for ensuring high standards of service and cleanliness are maintained in line with local infection control policies, Covid 19 guidance and maintaining compliance with the NHS Scotland National Cleaning Services Specification, and Waste Regulations.

To meet specified cleaning schedules, and promote and maintain high standards of cleanliness within the environment.

Catering duties include regeneration of meals and preparation of salads, sandwiches and snacks.
