Job summary

Forest Holidays is seeking a Facilities Assistant at Blackwood Forest to maintain cabins and décor, perform basic repairs, and support the Operations Team in daily duties. You will help ensure guest satisfaction through attentive service and timely response to issues.

The role requires a can-do attitude, teamwork, and a willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions, with a focus on hospitality quality and safety.

Qualifications

• Working Hours:Full-time, 40 hours.
• Days of Work:Week 1 - Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri & Week 2 - Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri, Sat, Sun.

We have an exciting opportunity for a FacilitiesAssistant to join our lovelyteamatBlackwood Forest.

Work in one of the UK’s most stunning forest locations, developing your skills while providing outstanding service to our guests. Sheltered beneath the protective canopy of ancient oak woodland or situated in the open meadow at the forest edge, our cabins at Forest of Dean offer an escape from everyday life in one of Britain’s most amazing forests.

About the Facilities Assistant role:

AsFacilitiesAssistant, you will ensureour cabins are in good working order with well-maintained décor.You will complete general maintenance tasks, so a basic knowledge of using tools, fixing machinery, and decorating is desirable. You will respond to issues promptly and the ability to solve these issues whilstmaintainingexcellent communication with the guest is essential.

Our FacilitiesAssistant willensureevery cabin is regularly audited to keep standards high.Working in the Operations Team you will alsoassistacross the location as and whenrequired, for example delivering items ordered from the Retreat to cabins or emptying bins on a changeover day.

You’ll take pride in delivering exceptional customer service and are happy to work with our brand standards, ensuring every guest experience that Forest Feeling the moment they step into their cabin.

Your Responsibilities:

• Carry out general maintenance and repair work to keep cabins in good working order and well-presented.
• Complete basic decorating and upkeep tasks to maintain high standards of cabin appearance.
• Respond quickly to maintenance issues and resolve them where possible, using basic tools and repair skills.
• Paying attention to the little details and delivering daily tasks in a timely and competent manner.
• Taking pride in delivering exceptional customer service.
• Following brand standards to ensure every guest experiences the Forest Feeling from the moment they step into their cabin

Pay Rates for Aged 16 and 17:

16 years:£8.00 per hour
17 years:£10.85 per hour
