Job summary

Forest Holidays is seeking an Operations Assistant to help keep our Sherwood Forest location running smoothly. You will maintain cabins and facilities, perform daily maintenance tasks, and contribute to a welcoming guest experience in a woodland setting.

You will work outdoors in all weather, support a friendly team, and help ensure every guest enjoys a memorable forest escape. A full UK driving license is required.

Qualifications

• Some previous experience in a similar role.
• Willing to work outdoors in all weather.
• Full clean UK driving license.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining cabins and ensuring facilities are in top condition.
• Ensuring hot tubs are in perfect working order daily.
• Carrying out general maintenance tasks and decorating (basic).
• Delivering high standards of cleanliness and guest preparation.
• Providing friendly, helpful guest service in line with Forest Holidays standards.

• Working Hours:Full-time, 40 hours.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Operations Assistant to join our lovelyteamatSherwood Forest.

About the OperationsAssistant Role:

As our Operations Assistant, you’ll be at the heart of keeping our Forest location running smoothly behind the scenes. From maintaining our cabins to ensuring every facility is in top condition, your work plays a vital role in creating a seamless and enjoyable stay for every guest.

Set within a peaceful woodland environment, this role offers a refreshing alternative to typical maintenance positions. You’ll enjoy a balanced work schedule while working outdoors and as part of a supportive team, all while contributing to the unique Forest Holidays experience.

You’ll take a hands‑on approach to a variety of operational tasks, ensuring everything is safe, functional, and ready for guests to enjoy from the moment they arrive.

Your Responsibilities:

• Ensuring hot tubs are in perfect working order every day for our guests.
• Completing general maintenance tasks, including using tools, fixing machinery, and decorating (basic knowledge desirable).
• Paying attention to the little details and delivering daily tasks in a timely and competent manner.
• Taking pride in delivering exceptional customer service.
• Following brand standards to ensure every guest experiences the Forest Feeling from the moment they step into their cabin

What Are We Looking For?

Our ideal Operations Assistant will be adynamic individualwho applies a can‑do attitude to solve any issues that may arise on location. You will be a team player, capable of building good working relationships with colleagues. Alove for the outdoors is essential as these tasks need completing rain or shine every day of the year.

We’re looking for someone with:

• A positive, can‑do attitude and a strong work ethic.
• The ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively with colleagues.
• Great attention to detail, ensuring high cleanliness standards are met.
• Some previous experience in a similar role.
• Comfortable working independently.
• A willingness to work outdoors in a natural setting, whatever the weather.
• A full clean UK driving license.

Pay Rates for Aged 16 and 17:

16 years:£8.00 per hour
17 years:£10.85 per hour
