We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a Permanent Facilities Assistant to join our dynamic Trafford team at our Trafford Depot in Manchester, (M23 9LF). This role will be carried out onsite

This position offers a competitive salary and overtime.

The role is 36.25 hours a week and potential weekend work.

In this role, you will support the Trafford Account by maintaining high service standards across the facility. You will work with team members, stakeholders, and supervisors to ensure cleanliness and hygiene in all areas, comply with health and safety regulations, and improve site operations.

This role provides an opportunity to boost workplace productivity and contribute to a larger site operation.

What You’ll Do:

  • Ensure the cleanliness and hygiene standards are consistently upheld across all office spaces and varied council buildings. This includes regular waste removal and disposal, in accordance with both client and Amey procedures, with a focus on recycling where necessary.
  • Provide essential support during emergencies by managing traffic control, ensuring the swift and safe movement of people and resources.
  • Key holding, open and closing of buildings
  • Complete safety inspections
  • Liaise with council staff and Amey management
  • Minor DIY (training can be given)
  • Contribute to effective waste management by responsibly handling waste removal and disposal, ensuring that recyclable materials are separated appropriately to promote environmental sustainability.
  • Offer professional passenger assistance services to those requiring additional help, demonstrating a commitment to excellent customer service and support for all clients and visitors.
  • Assist in the relocation and reorganisation of furniture and equipment as necessary, supporting office moves to enhance operational efficiency and ensure a smooth transition.
  • Conduct regular checks on appliances and fittings to ensure they are in good working order. Promptly report any defects to the Team Leader, contributing to the overall safety and functionality of the environment.
