Loughborough Students' Union is seeking a Facilities Assistant to join our busy Facilities Team. This hands-on role supports building maintenance, event set-ups, health and safety compliance, deliveries and caretaking across LSU.

The 35-hour week includes early mornings and weekend shifts, with some flexibility for part-time or job-share arrangements during term time. We offer a contributory pension scheme, health care cash plan, enhanced holidays, staff discounts and access to university

Are you practical, proactive, and take pride in keeping buildings safe, clean and running smoothly? We're looking for a Facilities Assistant to join our busy Facilities Team at Loughborough Students' Union. This hands-on role offers a varied working day, supporting building maintenance, event set-ups, health and safety compliance, deliveries, and caretaking duties across one of the UK's leading Students' Unions. If you have a customer-focused attitude, enjoy problem-solving, and are confident carrying out general maintenance tasks, we'd love to hear from you.

This position is 35 hours per week however applications for part-time or job share roles would be considered, starting salary of £24,676. Shifts are normally worked across five days out of seven. Our operation is busiest when our students are here, so flexibility is important especially during our University terms. The role will include early mornings and weekend work as part of a rota, particularly around key events and busy periods such as Freshers’ in late September and awards session in May and June.
