Job summary

Compass Group UK&I is recruiting a dedicated Facilities Assistant to support Defence operations on a full-time basis (40 hours/week). The role involves minor repairs, site maintenance, and contractor coordination, with a focus on safety and reliability.

You will be part of the Defence, Government and Energy services sector, supporting security-conscious environments. We value proactive, communicative team players who can handle changing priorities and maintain a high standard of facility

Responsibilities

• Undertaking minor repairs and maintenance tasks.
• Keep exterior of site clean and in reasonable repair.
• Assist with contractor sign-in/out and site policy adherence.
• Open/close the building as required.
• Represent Compass Group UK&I with a positive brand image.
• Comply with Health & Safety regulations.

We're currently recruiting a dedicated Facilities Assistant to help ensure the smooth running of the operations in Defence on a full time basis, contracted to 40 hours per week.

As a Facilities Assistant, you will use your skills to maintain a high standard of facility management with the wider facilities team. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Undertaking minor repairs and maintenance tasks
• Responsible for ensuring the exterior of the site is in a clean, tidy and reasonable state of repair, inclusive of general external maintenance tasks
• Assisting the facilities team with the control of contractor's process, inclusive of ensuring contractors are signed in correctly, and signed out, and that everyone is adhering to site policies and rules
• Responsible for opening and/or closing the building where required
• Representing Compass Group UK&I and maintaining a positive brand image
• Complying with Health & Safety regulations
