Job summary

eTeach UK Limited is seeking a reliable Facilities Assistant/Pool Technician to support the Facilities Manager. This hands-on role involves routine repairs and maintenance of the building fabric, pool maintenance, gardening, and general duties to assist the Maintenance Team.

Hours are part-time (up to 26.5 hours per week) with a year-round schedule. Salary is up to £18,280 per annum (£13.25 per hour) depending on qualifications and experience; a full, clean driving licence is required, and

Qualifications

• Must have good DIY skills and be practical.

• Physically fit and able to undertake lifting and porterage.

Responsibilities

• Support the Facilities Manager with routine repairs and maintenance.
• Carry out general DIY and estate duties as required.
• Maintain the swimming pool and assist with pool-related tasks.
• Assist the Maintenance Team and cover gardening where needed.
• Be vigilant for the welfare and safety of children and staff.

Job description

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Facilities Assistant/Pool Technician to provide support to the Facilities Manager. This is a “hands-on” role and duties will include routine repairs and maintenance of the building fabric, general DIY and estate duties, seasonal gardening services and general support to the Maintenance Team as well as some maintenance of the swimming pool. Applicants must have good DIY skills, initiative and practicality, a positive approach to teamwork, good written and verbal communication skills and physical fitness, as some lifting and porterage is required. A full, clean driver’s licence is required and if currently without full D1 minibus entitlement, a willingness to undertake the necessary training is expected.

Reports to: Facilities Manager and School Business Manager

Hours, Salary & Benefits

Hours: Part time, permanent role. Mon, Tues, Weds. Up to 26.5 hours per week. Year round position. The post holder is to be available outside of the core working hours, for School events as and when required, and must liaise with the School Business Manager to ensure that there is always a member of the Facilities Team on site during holiday and half- term periods.

Salary: Up to £18,280 pa/£13.25 per hour dependent on qualifications and experience, and is calculated to include the events that take place outside of the core working hours.
