Job summary

Claranet UK is seeking an experienced Health, Safety & Facilities Manager to lead safety, facilities management and property strategy across a multi-site UK estate.

You’ll act as the lead health and safety adviser while overseeing workplace services and compliance, balancing risk and employee experience in a complex environment.

Qualifications

• Experience leading health and safety and facilities in multi-site environments.
• Strong knowledge of UK health and safety legislation and governance.
• Experience developing policies, standards and management systems.
• Experience in risk assessment and incident investigations.
• Experience managing contractors and facilities projects.
• Strong stakeholder communication and influencing at all levels.
• Balancing risk, compliance and employee experience in a commercial setting.
• IOSH membership and NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent are desirable.

Job description

We're looking for an experienced Health, Safety & Facilities Manager to lead Claranet UK's workplace safety, facilities management and property strategy. This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on operational delivery, ensuring our offices and Data Centres remain safe, compliant, sustainable and supportive environments for our people. You'll act as the organisation's lead health and safety adviser while overseeing facilities, property management and workplace services across a multi-site UK estate. What You'll Be Doing

• Lead Claranet UK's health and safety strategy, policies and management systems.
• Provide expert health and safety advice to senior leaders and management teams.
• Ensure workplace, facilities and occupational health risks are appropriately identified, assessed and controlled.
• Oversee facilities management and workplace services across the UK property portfolio.
• Manage statutory compliance programmes, workplace inspections, audits and investigations.
• Lead contractor management, supplier performance and workplace improvement projects.
• Drive a positive health, safety and wellbeing culture through training, engagement and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Produce clear governance, risk and compliance reporting for senior stakeholders.

  You’ll be an experienced health and safety professional with a strong background in facilities and property management within a complex, multi-site environment., Significant experience leading health and safety and facilities functions.

• Strong knowledge of UK health and safety legislation and governance.
• Experience developing and implementing policies, standards and management systems.
• Proven experience in risk assessment, incident investigation and compliance management.
• Experience managing contractors, facilities suppliers and workplace projects.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all organisational levels.
• A practical, commercially minded approach to balancing risk, compliance and employee experience., NEBOSH National General Certificate (or equivalent).
• IWFM qualification, MBIFM membership or equivalent Facilities Management experience.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel between UK sites.

Desirable

• IOSH Membership.
• NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent Level 6 qualification.
• Specialist qualifications in areas such as Fire Safety, CDM, Legionella, Contractor Management or Occupational Health.
