Etex is seeking a Facilities & Compliance Manager to join our Bristol site and drive safety, compliance, and operational excellence. You’ll ensure all equipment and systems meet legal standards, manage statutory inspections such as LOLER and Legionella, and lead capital projects from concept to completion.

You’ll oversee the facilities across the manufacturing plant and head offices, manage budgets, coordinate contractors, and foster strong stakeholder relationships while promoting a proactive

Qualifications

  • Experience managing statutory inspections (LOLER, Legionella, LEV, asbestos, life safety systems).
  • Excellent maintenance planning and contractor relationships.
  • Strong organisational and stakeholder management skills.

  • Manage site facilities across the full manufacturing plant and the head offices, including planned activities and arising work.
  • Develop and lead projects from initial concept through to successful completion for compliance or modernisation.
  • Oversee one full time, site based, contractor working as compliance support.
  • Manage contractor activities on site day to day.
  • Track and manage the Facilities & Compliance budget.

As our Facilities & Compliance Manager, you’ll play a vital role in keeping our Bristol site safe, compliant, and running smoothly. From ensuring all equipment and systems meet legal standards, to managing statutory inspections, maintaining safe site conditions and leading capital projects, you’ll be at the heart of our operations. This is your chance to take ownership of compliance and facilities management in a role that truly makes a difference.

What you’ll do:
  • Ensure site compliance in topics including, but not limited to, fire systems, LOLER, PSSR, Legionella, Electrical
  • Manage site facilities across the full manufacturing plant and the head offices, including planned activities and arising work

What you’ll bring:
  • Firm commitment to safety, demonstrating positive safety engagement, correction of unsafe conditions and continuous improvement mindset (IOSH Managing Safely and CDM 2017 training desirable).
  • Experience managing statutory inspections, including LOLER, Legionella, LEV, asbestos, life safety systems, etc.
  • Excellent maintenance planning, with strong contractor relationships and stakeholder engagement.
  • Prioritisation of work across a wide breadth of topics
  • Strong knowledge of facilities including building, grounds and drainage management
  • Strong organisational, communication, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Competence in budget control, purchasing, and financial planning.
  • Proven project management skills with ability to deliver on time, within budget, and to high standards.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Project; skilled in preparing reports and presentations.
  • Knowledge of PUWER, CE/UKCA marking, RAMS, SSOW, PTW’s and LOTOTO procedures.
  • Flexible, performance-driven, and able to adapt to changing priorities.
