Job summary

United Infrastructure Ltd is seeking a Workplace Compliance Manager to lead the management of workplace compliance, facilities services and statutory obligations across our office estate. You will report to the Director of SHEQ and oversee FM and M&E contractors, drive KPIs and ensure compliance with legislation and ISO standards.

• BOHS Qualified (minimum) is required.
• Experience in social housing, maintenance, or minor works.
• Strong knowledge of asbestos legislation and best practices.
• Experience with audits, reporting, and compliance systems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proactive, organised, and able to work independently.
• Full UK driving licence is essential.

Responsibilities

• Promote and implement a strong SHEQ culture with a Zero Harm mindset.
• Ensure full compliance with SHEQ policies and legal requirements.
• Carry out site audits, inspections, and safety tours.
• Own and lead the development of asbestos procedures.
• Support ISO audits and maintain SHEQ documentation.
• Monitor data to identify trends and improvements.
• Assist in incident investigations as subject matter expert.
• Encourage hazard reporting and near-misses.
• Support site teams and attend SHEQ meetings.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

About Us

United Infrastructure delivers essential infrastructure services across utilities and social infrastructure, supporting some of the UK’s largest network operators and housing providers.

Are you an experienced Facilities Management professional with a strong compliance background? We are looking for a Workplace Compliance Manager to lead the management of workplace compliance, facilities services and statutory obligations across our office estate.

Reporting to the Director of SHEQ, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation, standards and management system requirements, including fire safety, water hygiene, asbestos, gas, electrical and physical security arrangements. You'll oversee FM and M&E contractors, manage planned maintenance programmes, drive service performance through KPIs and SLAs, and support the delivery of sustainability, business continuity and workplace improvement initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have significant Facilities Management experience, strong contractor management skills and a proven track record of delivering compliance and operational excellence within a multi-site environment. A facilities management qualification (IWFM or equivalent) and a health and safety qualification such as IOSH are essential.

Key Responsibilities

What We’re Looking For

• Good IT skills (Microsoft Office essential; SHEQ systems desirable)


• Full UK driving licence
