Job summary

Word360 is seeking skilled interpreters to provide face-to-face language support across Health and Social Care sectors in the Cornwall region. You will travel to Plymouth, Truro, Newquay, interpreting for diverse clients and communities.

This self-employed role offers flexible assignments and the chance to make a direct positive impact. Candidates should have excellent communication in English and at least one additional language, along with DBS clearance or the ability to obtain one.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills in English and another language.
• Eligibility for self-employment in the UK.
• Enhanced DBS certificate (Child and Adult Workforce, with Barred Lists) or ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities

What you'll be doing

As a face-to-face interpreter, you will deliver vital language interpretation services to a range of organisations, particularly within the Health and Social Care sectors.

You will play a key role in breaking down communication barriers, ensuring that every person has access to the services and support they need.

***Please note:This role involves regular travel within and around the Cornwall region***

Languages we are recruiting for includes, but are not limited to:

Arabic, Bulgarian, Dari, Pashto, Romanian, Russian, Sorani, Sudanese Arabic, Tigrigna, Ukrainian

• Excellent communication skillsin both English and additionallanguage

• Strong organisational abilitieswith the capacity to manage multiple assignments

• Professionalism and enthusiasm, with a respectful and empathetic approach

• Confidence interpretingacross various environments (medical, social care, and community-based settings)
