Job summary

Word360 is seeking skilled, passionate interpreters to provide face-to-face language support for individuals with limited English proficiency. This self-employed role involves travel to bookings across Gloucestershire, Bath, Bristol and surrounding areas, with flexible assignments you can choose.

You will deliver interpretation services to organisations in Health and Social Care sectors, supporting access to NHS and local services, charities, and private businesses, while breaking down

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills in English and another language.
• Strong organisational abilities with the capacity to manage multiple assignments.
• Professionalism and enthusiasm, with a respectful and empathetic approach.
• Confidence interpreting across various environments (medical, social care, and community-based settings).
• Enhanced DBS Certificate (Child and Adult Workforce, with both Barred Lists). If you do not already hold one, we can assist you in completing your DBS application.
• Eligibility for self-employment in the UK.

Responsibilities

What you'll be doing

As aface-to-face interpreter, you will deliver vital language interpretation services to a range of organisations, particularly within theHealth and Social Caresectors.
Your assignments may include supporting individuals accessing services through theNHS, local councils, charities, and private businesses.

You will play a key role in breaking down communication barriers, ensuring that every person has access to the services and support they need.

Languages we are recruiting for include, but are not limited to:

Albanian, Amharic, Arabic, Bengali, Bulgarian, Cantonese, Czech, Dari, Farsi, Farsi (Western Persian), Gujarati, Hungarian, Italian, Kurdish, Kurdish-Bahdini, Lithuanian, Mandarin, Nepalese, Oromo, Pashto, Polish, Portuguese, Punjabi, Romanian, Russian, Slovak, Somali, Spanish, Tagalog, Tamil, Thai, Tigrinya, Turkish, Ukrainian, Vietnamese.

Additionally, we welcome British Sign Language (BSL) interpreters– bothRegistered Sign Language Interpreters (RSLI)andTrainee Sign Language Interpreters (TSLI)are encouraged to apply.
