Job summary

Word360 is seeking freelance face-to-face interpreters to support individuals with limited English proficiency across health and social care sectors in the Gloucestershire region. You will interpret for NHS, local councils, charities, and private clients as a self-employed professional.

This role involves travel within and around Gloucestershire, with assignments across Gloucester, Cheltenham, Cirencester, and surrounding areas.

Responsibilities

• Provide face-to-face interpretation for Health and Social Care clients and others.

• Travel within Gloucestershire region to assignments and work as self-employed interpreter.

About The Role

We are currently seeking skilled, passionate, and reliable interpreters to provide face-to-face language support for individuals with limited English proficiency.

What you'll be doing

As a face-to-face interpreter, you will deliver vital language interpretation services to a range of organisations, particularly within the Health and Social Care sectors.
Your assignments may include supporting individuals accessing services through the NHS, local councils, charities, and private businesses.

You will play a key role in breaking down communication barriers, ensuring that every person has access to the services and support they need.

*** Please note: This role involves regular travel within and around the Gloucestershire region ****
Gloucester, Cheltenham, Cirencester, Hereford, Stroud, Banbury, Swindon, Quedgeley

What we're looking for

Essential Skills and Attributes:

• Excellent communication skills in both English and additionallanguage
• Strong organisational abilities with the capacity to manage multiple assignments
• Professionalism and enthusiasm, with a respectful and empathetic approach
• Confidence interpreting across various environments (medical, social care, and community-based settings)
• Enhanced DBS Certificate (Child and Adult Workforce, with both Barred Lists) If you do not already hold one, we can assist you in completing your DBS application
• Eligibility for self-employment in the UK
