Job summary

Purosearch is assisting a well-established façade business to recruit a Façade Designer in North London. The role focuses on detailed façade designs from concept through installation on landmark projects across commercial, residential, mixed-use and high-rise developments.

You will produce detailed design drawings using AutoCAD or Revit, develop curtain walling and building envelope solutions, and coordinate with architects and engineers to ensure regulatory compliance and high-quality delivery.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Façade Designer within the UK.
• Strong knowledge of curtain walling, rainscreen cladding, glazing or building envelope systems.
• Proficient in AutoCAD (Revit experience advantageous).
• Ability to interpret architectural and structural drawings.
• Good understanding of UK Building Regulations and façade detailing.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Produce detailed design drawings using AutoCAD and/or Revit.
• Develop curtain walling, rainscreen cladding, glazing and building envelope solutions.
• Prepare fabrication and construction drawings.
• Coordinate with architects, structural engineers and project teams.
• Attend design and coordination meetings.
• Ensure designs comply with current Building Regulations and relevant industry standards.
• Resolve technical design issues throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support manufacturing and installation teams with technical queries.
