Job summary

Purosearch is recruiting a Façade Designer in Sunderland to join a technical design team on a range of façade and building envelope projects. You will produce detailed designs from concept through to construction while collaborating with engineers, project managers, manufacturers and clients.

The ideal candidate has solid façade design experience, strong knowledge of façade systems, and excellent AutoCAD skills; Revit experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Solid background in façade design gained with a contractor, specialist sub-contractor or consultancy.
• Strong knowledge of façade systems and construction methods.
• Ideal candidates will interpret architectural and engineering drawings precisely.

Responsibilities

• Produce detailed 2D and 3D façade drawings for construction.
• Develop façade designs from concept to detailed design.
• Work across curtain walling, rainscreen cladding, windows and doors.
• Prepare technical details, sections, elevations and fixing details.
• Liaise with engineers, architects, contractors and suppliers.
• Review design information and identify potential technical issues.
• Ensure designs comply with standards and project requirements.
• Support wider design and project teams through to completion.
