Job summary

Purosearch is seeking an experienced Design Manager to lead façade design across a portfolio of projects in the UK. The role focuses on delivering robust, coordinated designs for building envelopes, cladding, curtain walling and related systems, from early development through construction and completion.

The successful candidate will coordinate with clients, architects, consultants and subcontractors, ensuring design decisions meet programme, budget and quality targets.

Qualifications

• Experience in façade design or façade construction.
• Ability to coordinate multiple design disciplines and stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of façade systems and building envelope requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manage the design process across multiple façade projects from pre-construction through delivery.
• Coordinate internal and external design teams, consultants, suppliers and subcontractors.
• Review and manage technical drawings, specifications, calculations and design information.
• Ensure designs are coordinated with architectural, structural and MEP requirements.
• Identify and resolve technical design issues throughout the project lifecycle.
• Manage design programmes, deliverables, approvals and technical submissions.
• Work with project and commercial teams to align design decisions with programme and commercial needs.
• Attend design, client and project meetings, providing technical input.
