Job summary

Purosearch Ltd. is partnering with a leading global property and consultancy business to appoint an experienced Façade Consultant to join its Manchester team on a permanent hybrid basis.

The role involves delivering specialist façade consultancy across commercial, residential and large-scale developments, reviewing systems, and producing technical reports while collaborating with clients, architects, contractors and other specialists throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Strong technical knowledge of façade systems including curtain walling and rainscreen cladding.
• Understanding of relevant UK façade standards, regulations and guidance.
• Experience producing technical reports and communicating findings to clients.
• Strong communication with clients and multidisciplinary project teams.
• A degree in Façade Engineering or related discipline would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Providing specialist façade consultancy and technical advice across a range of developments.
• Reviewing façade systems and construction details to identify issues.
• Supporting façade inspections, condition assessments and due diligence.
• Producing and reviewing technical reports, specifications and documentation.
• Working with architects, contractors and other consultants throughout design and construction.

The Opportunity

I am currently working with a leading global property and consultancy business that is looking to appoint an experienced Façade Consultant to join their growing Manchester team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a façade professional looking to work on a diverse portfolio of technically challenging projects, providing specialist façade consultancy advice across the full project lifecycle.

You will work closely with clients, architects, contractors and other technical specialists, providing expert advice on façade design, performance, compliance and remediation.

The Role

Providing specialist façade consultancy and technical advice across a range of commercial, residential and large-scale developments.

Reviewing and assessing façade systems, materials and construction details to identify technical and performance issues.

Supporting façade inspections, condition assessments and technical due diligence.

Producing and reviewing technical reports, specifications and façade-related documentation.

Working with architects, contractors, developers and other consultants throughout the design and construction process.

Supporting project delivery from initial assessment and concept design through to completion.

Contributing to client relationships and helping develop new project opportunities.

About You

The successful candidate will ideally have:

Strong technical knowledge of façade systems, including curtain walling, rainscreen cladding, glazing and external wall systems.

A good understanding of relevant UK façade standards, regulations and guidance.

Experience producing technical reports and communicating technical findings to clients.

Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with clients and multidisciplinary project teams.

A degree in Façade Engineering, Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, Building Physics, Architecture or a related discipline would be advantageous.

Experience with areas such as CWCT, EWS1, FRAEW, PAS 9980, fire performance, thermal performance or façade remediation would be highly desirable.
