Job summary

AES is seeking an experienced Fabricator/Welder in the West Midlands to build bespoke components for special purpose machinery and automated feeding systems. The role involves fabrication and TIG welding from engineering drawings, cutting, forming, modifying and finishing parts, and supporting the build of automation equipment.

The ideal candidate has strong fabrication and welding experience, with TIG welding considered highly desirable, and confident interpretation of drawings.

Qualifications

• Experience in fabrication and welding to build bespoke components and assemblies.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and translate them into accurate fabrication work.
• Hands-on workshop skills with experience using fabrication equipment.

Responsibilities

• Fabrication & welding of bespoke components and assemblies.
• TIG welding and general fabrication to tight tolerances.
• Reading and working from engineering drawings.
• Cutting, forming, modifying and finishing components.
• Support the build of automation and special purpose machinery.
• Operate general workshop machinery and fabrication equipment.

An established and growing automation business is looking for an experienced Fabricator / Welder to manufacture and modify components for special purpose machinery and automated feeding systems.

The Role

• Fabrication & welding of bespoke components and assemblies
• TIG welding and general fabrication
• Working from engineering drawings
• Cutting, forming, modifying and finishing components
• Supporting the build of automation and special purpose machinery
• Using general workshop machinery, tooling and fabrication equipment

What We're Looking For

• Strong fabrication and welding experience
• TIG welding experience highly desirable
• Confident reading engineering drawings
• Good hands-on workshop skills
• Automation / machine build / special purpose machinery experience advantageous
