Job summary

Fusion People Ltd is recruiting an experienced Fabricator/Welder to joining a well-established fabrication company based in Taunton.

This is a great opportunity to work on bespoke architectural, secondary and structural steel projects across the South West, with modern workshop facilities and a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in fabrication/welding.
• Experience working from fabrication drawings.
• Background in structural steel, architectural metalwork or bespoke fabrication.
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Ability to work well within a team and on own initiative.
• Good timekeeping and reliability.
• Willingness to learn new equipment and processes.
• Experience with tube bending machines or robotic welding systems would be beneficial, but training can be provided for the right person.

Responsibilities

• Fabricating and welding a variety of bespoke steelwork.
• Working from fabrication drawings.
• Producing items such as stairs, gantries, walkways, handrails, balconies and structural steelwork.
• Working as part of a skilled workshop team.
• Maintaining high standards of quality and attention to detail.

Salary: GBP15 - GBP18 per hour + Pension, Overtime, Free On-Site Parking

Location: Taunton, Somerset
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £15–£18 per hour, depending on experience
Salary Equivalent: £31,000–£38,000 DOE
Overtime: Available
Start Date: As soon as available

The role will involve:

• Fabricating and welding a variety of bespoke steelwork
• Working from fabrication drawings
• Producing items such as stairs, gantries, walkways, handrails, balconies and structural steelwork
• Working as part of a skilled workshop team
• Maintaining high standards of quality and attention to detail
• Using modern workshop equipment and fabrication processes

The ideal candidate will have:

Working hours:

• Monday to Thursday: 8:00am – 4:30pm
• Friday: 8:00am – 4:00pm
