Job description

NOV is seeking a Fabricator Welder based in Middleton, Greater Manchester.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Produce quality fabrications and welds using appropriate equipment in a timely, safe, and efficient manner.
• Read engineering drawings, use precision measuring instruments, and interpret job orders to determine dimensions, tolerances, and tooling requirements.
• Have experience with MIG and TIG welding techniques.
• Load parts with overhead lifting equipment, operate controls, de-burr, and inspect parts for quality and conformance.
• Identify potential problems before production, monitor quality during fabrication and welding, and adjust as necessary.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and perform basic preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Perform other work-related tasks as required by the business.
• Adhere to NOV company policies, quality standards, and HSE procedures.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Completed a recognized apprenticeship in a fabrication or welding discipline, equivalent to City and Guilds Level 3 or NVQ Level 3.

Additional Skills and Knowledge:

• Understanding of welding materials and processes in accordance with ASME standards.
• Computer literacy.
• Manual handling, slinging, and lifting skills.
• HSE awareness.

Qualifications:

• Time-served apprenticeship in fabrication/welding discipline.

Experience:

• Operating various fabrication and welding equipment.
