Job summary

Recruit4staff (Wrexham) Ltd is representing a well-established engineering & manufacturing business seeking a Fabricator Welder in Haydock to join the shop floor team. You'll manufacture large steel products, perform MIG welding from drawings, and work with both thin gauge and heavy gauge steel, with hours 07:30–15:30 and pay up to £17 per hour, negotiable by experience.

Fabricator Welder to work in

Haydock

• Pay: Up to £17.00 per hour (Negotiable Depending on Experience)


• Hours of Work: Monday to Friday 07.30 to 15.30


• Overtime Rules: Paid at x1.5 of basic hours after completing 37.5 hours

Job Role:

As a Fabricator Welder, you will manufacture large steel products, including structural steel, using both thin gauge (2-3mm) and heavy gauge mild steel up to 25mm thick. The role involves MIG welding, plating and fabrication from drawings to tight tolerances, and maintaining a high standard of work. Typical duties will include: Marking out, forming plate, general fabrication duties and MIG welding on Carbon steel.

Essential Skills, Experience, or Qualifications:

• Proven ability to MIG weld


• Fabrication of large structural steels


• Experience working from engineering drawings to fabricate steel components


• Skilled in working with thin gauge sheet metal and heavy gauge steel

Advantageous Skills, Experience, or Qualifications:

• NVQ/C&G in Fabrication and Welding or equivalent


• Previously coded in MIG welding


• Experience welding galvanised steel / stainless steel
