Job summary

Kemp Recruitment is seeking a skilled Welder / Fabricator for a Dukinfield site. You will perform welding and fabrication on trailers and HGVs within a maintenance facility, following depot procedures and industry standards.

Working Monday to Friday day shifts, with overtime paid at 1.5x. The role offers a competitive £42,000–£45,000 salary, a health plan, enhanced holiday allowance and bonus schemes, plus free onsite parking.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Welder / Fabricator on trailers and HGVs.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specs.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality welding and fabrication on commercial vehicles and trailers.
• Ensure all modifications, repairs and fabrications adhere to depot procedures and industry standards.
• Assist in trailer rebuilds, ensuring structural integrity and safety.
• Accurately complete job sheets and maintain detailed records.
• Participate in preventative maintenance to prolong the lifespan of vehicles and trailers.
• Work with materials such as fibreglass, steel, aluminium and hardwood using drilling, cutting, riveting, welding and grinding.
