Job summary

Recruitment Helpline in Antrim seeks an experienced Fabricator/Welder to join a well-established team in a full-time, permanent role. The position offers a salary of £15–£17 per hour, depending on experience, and is based at Antrim BT41.

The successful candidate will perform MIG welding, read engineering drawings, fabricate sheet metal components, and ensure quality and safety across production.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in MIG welding.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read technical drawings.
• Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment.
• Familiarity with sheet metal fabrication techniques is advantageous.
• Basic mathematical skills for accurate measurements and calculations.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG welding.
• Utilise hand tools and power tools for cutting, shaping, and assembling metal components.
• Fabricate and assemble sheet metal products according to engineering drawings and specifications.
• Conduct inspections of completed work to ensure quality standards are met.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and improve production processes.
