Successful candidates will have proven fabrication experience in a workshop setting, the ability to read drawings, and reliability to meet deadlines.

Fabricator Welder

Location: Colwick (Nottingham)

Pay: Up to £17.00 per hour + overtime

Contract: PERMANENT

We're recruiting for an established, fabrication business based in Colwick, Nottingham. The company manufactures bespoke, made-to-order fabricated structures for customers in the quarries and recycling sectors, with projects ranging from complex assemblies through to finishing and certification.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Fabricator who enjoys varied work and building to drawing on different, one-off jobs.

The role

As a Fabricator, you'll be working from engineering drawings to fabricate components that have been cut and bent by the machine shop. Work is varied and includes a range of materials and thicknesses.

Key responsibilities

• Fabricating bespoke products from engineering drawings
• Using a variety of fabrication equipment and workshop tools
• Working mainly with mild steel, with some stainless steel, aluminium and brass
• Working with material thicknesses approx. 3mm to 20mm
• Producing high-quality, made-to-order fabrications for industrial projects

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a Fabricator in a workshop/manufacturing environment
• Confident reading and working from engineering drawings
• Comfortable working with different materials and gauges
• Reliable, quality-focused, and able to work to deadlines

Hours & pay

Pay: Up to £17.00 per hour (DOE)

Hours: Monday-Thursday 08:30 - 16:30 & Friday 08:30 - 15:30

Overtime: Available; paid at time + 1/3 (after completing 39 hours)
