Job summary

Workforce Staffing is seeking an experienced Fabricator Welder for a permanent role in Brierley Hill, West Midlands. You will fabricate and weld steel components, read drawings, and work from fabrication plans in a busy manufacturing environment.

This role offers a day shift, 40 hours per week at £18 per hour, with overtime available and long-term stability within an established company.

Qualifications

• Experience as Fabricator Welder or Plater Welder.
• Ability to read and work from engineering drawings.
• Experience with structural steel or heavy fabrication.
• MIG welding skills.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and weld steel components and structures.
• Work from engineering drawings and fabrication plans.
• Measure, cut, fit and assemble materials.
• MIG welding to a high standard.
• Tack weld and prepare components for final welding.
• Operate workshop machinery and fabrication equipment.
• Check own work to meet required standards.
• Work with a range of steel sections and plates.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Collaborate as part of a small, experienced fabrication team.

FABRICATOR WELDER

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Fabricator Welder to join a busy manufacturing company based in Brierley Hill, West Midlands.

This is a permanent opportunity for a skilled fabricator/welder with experience working from engineering drawings and producing high‑quality fabricated components.

The Role

As a Fabricator Welder, your duties will include:

• Fabricating and welding steel components and structures
• Working from engineering drawings and fabrication plans
• Measuring, cutting, fitting and assembling materials
• MIG welding to a high standard
• Tack welding and preparing components prior to final welding
• Using workshop machinery and fabrication equipment
• Checking your own work to ensure it meets the required standards
• Working with a range of steel sections and plate
• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
• Working as part of a small, experienced fabrication team

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will ideally have:

• Previous experience as a Fabricator Welder / Plater Welder
• Good MIG welding skills
• The ability to read and work from engineering drawings
• Experience with structural steel or general heavy fabrication
• Good measuring and fitting skills
• The ability to work accurately and independently
• A good attitude towards work and reliability
• Relevant fabrication/welding qualifications would be advantageous but are not essential
