Job summary

Eriez in the United Kingdom seeks an experienced Fabricator/Welder to fabricate and weld components to engineering drawings and quality standards. This role requires MIG/TIG welding expertise, reading blueprints, and maintaining safety and quality in a manufacturing setting.

You will operate welding and fabrication equipment, inspect welds, and contribute to continuous improvement while collaborating closely with the production team to meet tight tolerances and delivery schedules.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications to fabricate and weld components.
• Operate welding and fabrication equipment, including MIG, TIG, plasma cutters, oxy acetylene torch, grinders, guillotine, brake press and pillar drill.
• Cut, shape, and assemble metal components to required specifications.
• Inspect finished welds and fabricated components to ensure they meet dimensional and quality standards.
• Maintain welding and fabrication equipment in good working condition.
• Collaborate with other team members to optimize production processes.
• Follow safety protocols and ensure a clean and organized workspace.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and suggest process enhancements.

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Fabricator/Welder to join our team, responsible for fabricating and welding components as per engineering drawings and quality standards. This role demands proficiency in welding techniques, fabrication processes, and a strong understanding of safety and quality assurance in a manufacturing environment.

• Welding techniques: Expert in complex welding techniques, including precision TIG welding, and advanced materials like aluminum.
• Blueprint and technical drawing interpretation: Expert in reading and applying advanced fabrication drawings, including isometric and 3D views.
• Fabrication and metalworking: Expert in precision fabrication, ensuring tight tolerances and complex assemblies
• Weld inspection and Quality Assurance: Proficient in dimensional checks and visual inspection to industry standards.
• Safety and equipment maintenance: Proficient in maintaining equipment and ensuring compliance with safety standards.
• Demonstrates advanced troubleshooting, project leadership, and mentoring of others.
