Job summary

Nicholas Associates is recruiting a Fabrications Project Engineer in Alfreton to manage complex projects from concept to completion within a modern fabrication facility, ensuring on-time delivery and quality.

The role involves creating manufacturing route cards, coordinating with shop floor and internal departments, and overseeing external resources to secure successful customer outcomes. The position requires welding and fabrication knowledge and strong communication skills.

• Excellent inter-personal and presentation skills.
• Competence in Microsoft office packages
• Ability to read manufacturing drawings and specifications and break out the details and processes required for each operation required for manufacture.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects from start to finish, ensuring on-time delivery and budget adherence.
• Create manufacturing route cards to determine best methods for manufacture.
• Coordinate with internal departments and liaise with external resources as needed for the project.

Are you looking for a Projects focused role - this will be office focused, working closely with the shop floor, however managing projects from concept to completion taking ownership of the part through the manufacturing process and successful delivery to the customer.

The basics

• Role: Fabrications project engineer
• Location: Alfreton
• Salary: Up to £52,000
• Hours: Monday to Thursday - 7:30am-4:30pm and Fridays 7:30am-2pm
• Contracted hours: 40 per week
• Holidays and Benefits: 33 days holiday, Xmas shut down, 7.5% pension, x4 salary death in service.

Overview

We now require an additional Project Engineer to join the team. Working with clean, modern purpose built manufacturing facilities in the fabrication department that weld complex, high integrity fabrications in a range of materials such as carbon and stainless steels varying from 3mm to 100mm.

As the Project Engineer you will be working in a technical role managing projects for the customer from start to finish, ensuring the project is delivered on time and within budget.

You will create manufacturing route cards to ensure the best methods to manufacture liaising with internal departments whilst also managing any external resources required for the project.

The ideal candidate

• Knowledge of Fabrication processes - welding and fabrication
