Job summary

Winner Recruitment is seeking a skilled Fabric Technician to join a facilities management team in Stockton-on-Tees. The role covers reactive maintenance, PPM and minor projects in a high-profile environment, focusing on safe and high-quality workmanship.

You should have fabric maintenance or carpentry experience, relevant City & Guilds/NVQ, and solid health and safety understanding. A UK driving licence and comfort with PDA/mobile tech to record work are essential.

Qualifications

Experience in fabric maintenance and/or carpentry.
City & Guilds or NVQ in Carpentry or relevant trade.
Experience in high-profile/commercial environments.
Good understanding of Health & Safety procedures and COSHH.

Responsibilities

Respond to reactive maintenance tasks and complete works within agreed timescales.
Carry out reactive and PPM works across the site.
Complete minor project and building works as required.
Repair and maintain floor and wall coverings.
Carry out ceiling tile repairs and replacements.
Undertake general building and installation works.
Complete general lighting and lamp replacement tasks.
Carry out AHU/FCU filter changes.
Undertake basic plumbing repairs and maintenance.
Complete site surveys and support the production of works requests, method statements and risk assessments for planned works.
Liaise professionally with client representatives regarding maintenance and repair works.
Use PDA/mobile technology to record completed works, communications and updates.
Ensure all works are completed safely and in accordance with relevant Health & Safety requirements.
Organise your own workload and ensure assigned tasks are completed efficiently.
