Job summary

CBW Staffing Solutions Ltd is recruiting a Static Fabric Technician to join a large commercial site near Reading. The role focuses on completing PPMs and reactive maintenance on building fabric across the campus, working Monday to Friday from 8:00 to 17:00.

Ideal candidates will have experience in commercial environments, a trade qualification (desirable), and a full driving licence. The package includes training, 25 days plus bank holidays, overtime opportunities, and no on-call duties.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance of building fabric across the campus.
• Undertake general repairs such as carpentry, basic plumbing, patch plastering, tiling, painting, and minor decorating works.
• Inspect and maintain doors, windows, locks, floors, ceilings, and fixtures to ensure buildings remain safe, secure, and presentable.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and fault reports, prioritising works to minimise disruption.
• Support compliance with health and safety regulations, including safe systems of work and risk assessments.
• Liaise with facilities teams, contractors, and campus staff to coordinate repairs and improvement works.
• Carry out routine inspections and identify potential issues before they develop into major faults.
• Maintain accurate records of work completed using maintenance management systems.

Static Fabric Technician - Reading - £33k

CBW Staffing Solutions are currently recruiting for a Fabric Technician to be based in a large Commercial site near Reading. This role is with an established FM company joining a team of M&E Engineers on site. The main role will be to complete PPM's and reactive maintenance tasks on site. This is a Monday - Friday role working 8:00-17:00 with no on call.

Package will include:

• Up to £33,000
• Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm
