Job summary

HVAC Recruitment are seeking an experienced Fabric Engineer for a prestige static site in Harrogate. You will perform planned and reactive fabric maintenance, ensuring a safe, compliant and well-presented building.

You will work with the on-site maintenance team, carrying out carpentry, plumbing, decorating and basic repairs, with a focus on high standards and customer service. Benefits include a basic salary around £32,000, Monday to Friday hours, company pension, 25 days leave and ongoing

Qualifications

Experience as Fabric Engineer, Handyperson or Building Maintenance.
Experience with carpentry, plumbing, decorating and general repairs.
Good understanding of health and safety procedures.
Ability to work independently and manage workload.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Carry out planned and reactive fabric maintenance.
General building repairs including carpentry, painting and decorating.
Basic plumbing repairs including taps, toilets and pipework.
Repair doors, locks, windows, flooring, ceilings and fixtures.
Complete patch plastering and minor joinery work.
Carry out routine inspections and identify defects.
Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner.
Liaise with subcontractors when required.
Complete maintenance records using the CAFM system.
Ensure all work is carried out safely and in line with health and safety procedures.
