Job summary

Concept Resources in Elstree is seeking a Fabric Technician to deliver a wide range of fabric and general maintenance tasks on a prestigious site. This is a full-time temporary role requiring hands-on maintenance and safe, high-quality workmanship.

The role covers reactive and planned maintenance, basic carpentry and building tasks, and using handheld PDA systems to log work. A carpentry qualification is essential and a UK driving licence is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Experience as Fabric Technician or similar role.
  • Carpentry qualification as listed above.
  • Experience in high-profile/commercial environments.
  • Good understanding of health & safety (COSHH, working at height, risk assessments).
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • IT-literate and comfortable using handheld/PDA systems.
  • Full UK driving licence preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to reactive maintenance tasks within agreed timescales.
  • Carry out planned preventive maintenance (PPM).
  • Repair floor and wall coverings.
  • Ceiling tile repairs and replacements.
  • General building maintenance and minor project works.
  • Basic plumbing, lighting and filter changes (AHU’s / FCU’s).
  • Conduct site surveys and prepare method statements and risk assessments.
  • Using PDA systems to log work and updates.
  • Liaising with client representatives on-site.

We are currently recruiting for a Fabric Technician to work at a high-profile site in Elstree. This is a full-time temporary role, ideal for someone with a strong background in building maintenance and carpentry.

Working hours:

40 hours per week (shift pattern to be confirmed)

About the role:

You will be responsible for delivering a wide range of fabric and general maintenance tasks, ensuring the site is maintained to a high standard and all works are completed safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities:
  • Responding to reactive maintenance tasks within agreed timescales
  • Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
  • Repairing floor and wall coverings
  • Ceiling tile repairs and replacements
  • General building maintenance and minor project works
