Handyman/Maintenance Engineer – Surrey/London

Location: South West London / Surrey (with travel to Central London sites)

Salary: £35,000 - £38,000 per year (depending on experience)

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Job Overview:

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Handyman/Maintenance Engineer to join our team and cover our weekly planned maintenance visits across a variety of commercial and high-end residential properties. The ideal candidate will be based in South West London or Surrey and have experience in general building maintenance, including plant checks, emergency light testing, call point checks, disabled alarms, and general plumbing and handyman duties. The role involves working at different sites across the region, including Surrey, Home Counties, and London.

Responsibilities:

1. Carry out weekly planned maintenance visits across multiple commercial and high-end residential sites.
2. Perform routine plant checks, emergency light testing, call point inspections, and disabled alarms testing.
3. Handle general plumbing tasks and other handyman duties as required.
4. Ensure all maintenance tasks are completed within the allocated timeframe.
5. Provide on-site support and maintain high standards of customer service.

Ideal Candidate:

1. Based in South West London or Surrey for easy access to the office and local sites.
2. Experience in building maintenance, particularly in commercial and high-end residential environments.
3. Capable of performing basic plumbing and general maintenance tasks.
4. Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
5. Able to manage weekly maintenance schedules and adhere to deadlines.

Working Hours:

1. Monday to Friday: Typically 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
2. Job and knock: Site visits finish by 2:00 PM most days

Salary & Benefits:

1. Competitive salary range: £35,000 - £38,000 per year, depending on experience.
2. 20 days holiday plus bank holidays, increasing with length of service.
